Introducing Thoughts of Home…

With this collection I present to you an honest and true appreciation of Irelands natural beauty and the secrets that it covets. Inspired by that ineffable sense of “home” we all feel now and again; that fleeting rush of warmth when comfort and familiarity take form in the guise of a cottage rose, a crooked coastal path or an old and battered stone wall. Through my collection I wanted to harness this intangible feeling by paying tribute to all of the beautiful places I am so lucky to call home from the orchard fields of Co. Armagh to the ragged Cliffs of Donegal. On my travels through Ireland I fell in love. In love with our craggy coastlines, our blustery headlands and our illusively enchanting moorlands. I knew I had stumbled upon natural beauty as I had never seen it before. I felt a shift within my being and I knew in that moment I had been irrevocably inspired by what had always been before me.

This collection Is a tangible encapsulation of the many things that enkindle my soul and conjure this innate feeling of “home” as I know it.

It is the indomitable wild Atlantic wind which ripples through the land breathing life and effervescence into our coastal shores.
It is a shadow of our mythic and foreboding headlands.
The silent whisper of serein as it dances over a forest floor
or the roaring Atlantic as it crashes upon our desolate shores.
It is the dew that graces the orchard blossom
or a warm cup of tea served by an old friend.

With this collection I pay tribute to our mystic landscapes seeped in old tales and folklore…where nature; wild and uninterrupted, can run freely, unfurling before us as the endearing land we adore. “home”.
